Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information RECLAIMED Press (“we”) collects when you visit this site or purchase RECLAIMED, how we use it, and the very limited number of third parties we share it with. We've tried to write this in plain English.
1. What we collect
When you buy the book. We collect the email address you enter at checkout, the order amount, the IP address that initiated the purchase, and whether a promo code was used. Payment is processed in cryptocurrency by NOWPayments. We see the transaction status and the payment ID; we do not see your wallet balance, identity, or any banking details.
When you contact us. We collect the name, email, and message body you submit, plus the timestamp.
When you download the book. We log the IP address that requested the download and the number of times each download link is used. This is solely to detect link sharing and fraud.
When you browse the site. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service. We see aggregate page views, referrers, and country — not individuals. No tracking cookies are set and no data is shared with third parties for advertising.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the book to you.
- To send you transactional emails (your order receipt and download link).
- To detect fraud or abuse (e.g. shared download links).
- To understand site usage in aggregate so we can improve copy, design, and pricing.
We do not use your data for retargeting, advertising, profile building, or selling to anyone. There is no marketing newsletter.
3. Who we share it with
We share the minimum data necessary with the following processors, each with their own privacy practices:
- NOWPayments — cryptocurrency payment processing. They handle the on-chain transaction. See nowpayments.io/privacy-policy.
- Resend — sends transactional emails. See resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Upstash — stores your order record and download token in Redis.
- Vercel — hosting and cookieless Web Analytics. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
We do not share your data with anyone else, including law-enforcement, except where we are legally required to do so.
4. How long we keep it
Order records and email addresses are kept indefinitely so we can verify ownership for re-download requests. Download tokens expire automatically after 7 days. You can request deletion of your record by emailing daniel.hartwell@reclaimed.you; we will comply unless local law requires us to retain it.
5. Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to daniel.hartwell@reclaimed.you.
6. Cookies
This site does not set tracking cookies. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies. The admin panel uses one HTTP-only, signed session cookie that is never visible to the public site.
7. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
8. Security
All traffic is over HTTPS. Crypto payment is handled entirely by NOWPayments — we never see or touch wallet credentials. Download links are time-limited and IP-monitored. Admin access is password-protected with rate limiting.
9. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
